MY OVERCOMING JOURNEY I am an overcomer of child sex abuse at the hands of my parents, violent fits of rage from my father, sociopathic assaults from my mother, bullying at the hands of many, and betrayals by several family members and co-workers. I have suffered greatly from my complex PTSD and related anxieties. However, more importantly, I am also a child of God Who brought me through all of it as He promised He would, and by His Grace established me in my true identity, not as a victim, but as an overcomer and more than a conqueror. Somehow, by God's Grace and enabling, I have married well; 41 years to the same amazing Christian woman; fathered well; fathering two faithful Christian children each married to strong spouses of great faith; launched a highly successful global research institute at a major university; founded and maintained a successful technology and professional services company; authored three influential books in my field; and been blessed to share The Word of God via teaching and writing in more than ten countries and seven languages. Overcoming.com, is my testimony of how God rescued a kid who by all expectations would be homeless or serving multiple prison sentences; how He lifted me out of great darkness, spared me multiple attacks on my life and reputation, and healed my complex PTSD. Overcoming.com is also my testimony of the opportunities He gave me along the way to minister His Word to many in miraculous settings and situations. I have written Overcoming.com as a resource to help any and all who have or are suffering with PTSD, child abuse, betrayals, etc. write this blog as a testimony to God's amazing Grace and as a resource of My father was a hero in World War II; receiving the Silver Star for meritorious combat in the D-Day Invasion, the Battle of Normandy, and the Battle of Bulge. Though he was only slightly physically injured during the war, he was severely psychologically injured, impaired with what we now know as combat related PTSD. have chosen to remain anonymous.
